Jeff Barnhart’s Master in the Fine Arts of Teaching from Connecticut College combines with his over thirty-five years experience as a piano teacher and coach in performance, interpretation, theory, and composition to make working with him exhilarating, eye-opening, and uniquely rewarding. Whether engaging with the youngest beginner or the most seasoned performer, Barnhart makes every lesson or coaching/mentoring session memorable and inspirational. His enjoyable tenure as part of the pedagogical team of the celebrated Thames Valley Music School at Connecticut College led to Barnhart founding the Mystic Music Studio and Agency in 1994. He specializes in encouraging young people and adults as well as in coaching advanced thru professional pianists on the early American pop styles Ragtime, Stride, New Orleans Jazz and Blues and Swing. Private lessons
Virtual: 1/2 hour: $40; 1 hour: $70
In person*: 1/2 hour: $50; 1 hour: $100
Professional Level Coaching and Mentoring**
Virtual: $125 per hour
In person*: $150 per hour
*In person lessons/coaching sessions on site Mystic Music Studio. On location sessions available and will incur additional travel/time surcharges.
** 2-hour session minimum unless priorly arranged
